ARC Technology Intro

ARC Technology

The ARC™ technology enables mines to regenerate reagents on‑site at a cost that beats delivered, single‑use acids and bases. The ARC results in cheaper processing, smaller waste generation, less sensitivity to input price volatility, fewer lifecycle emissions and greater supply chain resilience – making projects easier to finance.

Acid
Regeneration
Cycle

Stage 1

Liquor from conventional hydrometallurgy is crystallized

Stage 2

The crystals are thermally split into acid gas and oxides

Stage 3

Acid gas is used to re-make acid and returns to the front of the plant

Why It Matters

The ARC results in cheaper processing, smaller waste generation, less sensitivity to input price volatility, fewer lifecycle emissions and greater supply chain resilience

Key benefits

001

Cuts Opex

Regenerate reagents on‑site at a lower cost than delivered single-use chemicals.

ky.bnft
002

Shrinks Waste

Cuts neutralization loads, recovers more from the ore and lowers legacy liabilities.

SPEEDS PROCESS

Cleaner inputs, smaller footprint and better social license help projects advance faster.

GETS FINANCED

Stabilizes OPEX, improves profitability, reduces risks, improves social license and speeds approvals.

Strategic Application

Exterra Mission

Single-use reagents in strategic and critical minerals extraction represent 30 – 60% of processing OPEX. Exterra’s technology cuts reagent costs by 50% and reduces tailings, making mines more profitable, resilient and sustainable.
